Pleasant Hills Community Hotel

Pleasant Hills Community Hotel
A well preserved historic building

Pleasant Hills Community Hotel is the first community hotel in NSW. This came about when the licence of the Pleasant Hills Hotel was sold outside of the town in 1999, causing the hotel to close.

Residents of Pleasant Hills and surrounding community banded together to raise approximately $40,000 so that they could buy the hotel. After some changes to the State's Liquor Laws, Pleasant Hills established the first Community Licence in New South Wales on 23 March 2000, reopening this important establishment.

The hotel remains a focal point for the community and now doubles as both the Post Office and a small General store, servicing the whole community.

The Pleasant Hills Community Hotel is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with meals and accommodation available. Functions and parties are also available on request.
